This artwork features one of the most beautiful cars of all time, the Aston Martin DB5 in Silver Birch, made famous by the James Bond films. It features a partial side and front elevation of the car combined with details taken from the factory drawings.
The car's chrome work is reflective - the effect was created by polishing the Aluminium of the original painting and shading with transparent oil glazes. The surface treatments subtly catch the light according to the position of the viewer and lighting conditions, bringing the image to life.
